Towson
boasts a long and rich tradition of educational opportunities.
There are more than a dozen schools serving students from kindergarden
through advanced graduate studies. There are specialty schools
as well with a widely diverse array of options from fine arts
to technical skills to medical professions to modeling to international
study. Towson has a high school named for the community and
numerous private schools K-12, all are very convenient to the
center of town, most only a short walk away. Towson also home
to Towson University, a part of the state system of higher
education, as well as, Goucher College, a long standing private
institution located on the northern edge of the community.

and events that provide entertainment and cultural opportunities
